Only "Now has I unite portions on lightning 30 ' played. " seems to be a little tough - and "property night:)" . Ricardo Gibert posted a more complicated message recently with an Altavista translation : http://icdchess.com/forums/1/message.shtml?187245 . Without the original English text -> no chance. In general short sentences seem to work best : even if the translator messes something up the major part of the message gets through. I sometimes try Altavista on Spanish sites ( which I don't understand at all) and it's similar : the shorter the better. Humour and irony don't translate well : but they don't work very well on the net anyway. Esperanto would be a nice and fair solution : but it's too late for that. Amice, pete
