Author of program Yace, from the nation of Germany. He is an excellent
programmer and mathematician. He is a very nice person as well. One of my
favorite people on the internet. Unfortunately, I don't think he will accept
the nomination.

>John Merlino (jmerlino@ubisoft.com) yes
>Ed Schröder (rebchess@xs4all.nl) no
Author of program Rebel (and also works with Christophe Theron on Tiger as they
work as a team now). One of the more friendly and helpful authors of commercial
programs. He gave excellent assistance on the CAP project. A very nice person
and one of the founders of the group.

>Peter McKenzie (peter_mckenzie@hotmail.com) yes
>Bruce Moreland (brucemo@seanet.com) no
Author of program ferret and a many-time moderator here. There is no question
in my mind that Bruce Morland is the best of all moderators. He is level headed
and cool. He is very slow to anger and an excellent problem solver.
Unfortunately, I don't think that Bruce will accept the nomination.

>Roy Eassa (ardee@mediaone.net) no
An excellent and active poster who seems to have an excellent knowledge of
chess. He seems very courteous. I suspect he also would be a very good
moderator.

A correspondence chess player and someone who clealy knows a lot about computer
chess and mathematics also. He is very open minded and an excellent choice to
be the moderator.

Don't know this person. He is very new here.

>*Fernando Villegas (ferdinan@vtr.net) ?
One of my favorite debaters and an excellent writer. A passion for chess and
other interesting things. He has been a moderator before and would be a good
choice.

I think (for the most part) people who have been reading the group for 6 months
or more know these people pretty well. If they do accept the nominations, they
will have to write one of those little blurbs like the previous moderators [and
moderator candidates] had to do.
