I guess nobody ever told you that you must forfeit one million dollars if you refuse the nomination. It's in the small print of the agreement you signed when you joined. Just kidding. ;-) You can always refuse the nomination (many people do). The theory is that enough people will care enough to donate free time and the CCC will continue to operate like a Swiss watch (well, they do get sand in the gears from time to time). Moderator responsibilities are: Respond to complaints via the moderator email form. How *exactly* you respond is up to yourself and the other moderators chosen. Moderator benefits are... Well they are -- uhhh... mmmmm......... Let's just say it takes an altruistic attitude to serve as moderator.
