Well, using a concept like love on dogs (and other animals) doesn't really make any sense. They don't posses these feelings. It's more like honouring and obeying you as leader of the pack if you look at dogs in particular. Various emotional states is a case of human projection using a furry animal as medium. In a sense you're using it to love yourself, which is why the loss can be very painful. Regards, Mogens
