Crafty needs a remaining depth greater 6 plies to change from nullmin to
nullmax. So for very short times you may not see the efect of nullmax.
But you are not completely wrong. Here 2 results:

Crafty18.11 5 sec on 2xP3-450 with selective 2 3 --> 287 solved.
Crafty18.11 5 sec on 2xP3-450 with selective 0 0 --> 277 solved.

10 sec give about 10 pos difference.
