It would be interesting to be able to look at the source-file . I haven't been
able to find it so it's probably not posted at your site (or I am too dumb to
look :)).

Why is that ?

I see no harm for crafty if it was posted as your main interest isn't comp-comp
play anyway - and if there are serious weaknesses found - this can only help in
the long run.

Same applies to the source of books.bin to some extent.

It would fit well to your open source policy - I also think people would try to
modify and make even better ones and post them - a bit like the sharing of learn
files that was thought to be of use before.
