I have owned a 2x1000mhz before.  And I (essentially) own a single 1.4Ghz now.
He was NOT talking about dual 1.4's - just a single.

The bench on Crafty with 1 AMD 1.4Ghz is about 800k nps.  The dual 1000mhz was
1.1M.

Like I said, on SMP applications, the 2x1000mhz will be faster.
