WinME and WinNT/2000/and XP do not run dos apps very well. This is because they don't do a true dos mode any longer, but a emulated thingy that runs in the windows. NT and beyond is not a gui over dos AFAIK and in fact, MS is trying to get rid of dos all together from what i gather. JW
