find out he is just a Sean-idiot?"

That would be a problem for a short period of time.  But the other two
moderators could stop the problem pretty quickly and post something here to
let everyone know what is going on.  I would see nothing preventing two of
the moderators asking steve/tim to deactivate the third if he is out of
control.  It hasn't happened yet, so it might take a bit of mischief before
it gets fixed.

hopefully such a moderator will not make it past the voting process...

In general, I think that anyone that has posted here for a year would probably
do a good job, excepting for the obvious trouble-makers that pop in and out,
as alter-egos of Sean and CW.  So long as they don't get elected, I think any-
body else is capable of doing a perfectly reasonable job at this...
