Maybe. I think this is up to the elected moderators IMHO. Anyway, from my part
everything _could_ be negotiable and flexible with only one exception, if I see
a post that belongs to this category:

"Off topic messages with possible consequences for the group: It will be deleted
immediately with no further explanations given. A very clear example could be a
comments about a possible war or politics. This is an international group and we
have to try to avoid heated explosive arguments"

This is taken from my moderation policy.

In the rest of the cases, there is always a warning so I do not see how that
could be a big problem with the rest of the moderators. Anyway, I do not want to
spend a lot of time discussing possible conflicts that will never happen.
That comes from a chess program code :-) do not test legality because alpha-beta
could eliminate that before. Time is valuable.
