The problem is just that this particular position is a _real_ nasty. Even though I've just rewritten my entire kingsafety evaluation I still have to throw my hands in the air upon seeing this one. I want something easier :) Oh btw...anyone got any ideas which _attacks_ you want to evaluate? Currently, I dont care at all which squares are attacked and so and it works reasonably well. I can see that there are times that you really want to know what is attacked how, but I'm not sure when it is worth the effort and what to check for. -- GCP
