I have read some post where people seems to be bothered because some body here -me, to be sure- has posted things that they deem to be private and only communicable thought private email; the public thing here, they seems to thinks, is chess computer and nothing else. They would like that a rule about it was decreed. Well, just a couple of words about: this is a site ABOUT chess computer, not a site visited BY chess computers. This is not, either, a scientific magazine, where communication is only about an issue and according to the rules of the scientific protocols and jargon. So we must let some room to the kind of communication real people have. People communicates in a great variety of forms and all are valuable and necessary in certain occasions. Maybe I am the only sociologist here, but it is not necessary to be one to understand how this operates; is enough to be a person with some minimum degree of perspicacity to see what people do when they appears to be just giving information each others. Remember again: this is JUST a place where people interested in chess computer meet each other. OK; that is then the main stuff, I agree, BUT a degree of non-topic talk should be aloud even in public without criticism because is the kind of thing that add some variety and life to social intercourse. Again: this is a place for social intercourse about computers even if some of you guys believes this a kind of social intercourse between computers. I ask you to imagine just for a second what a ridiculous place this would be if not any kind of chat could appear now and then. Wake up, my friends: this is enough mad -grown-up people losing hours of his lives in chess computers et al- in itself to do it even more silly with a out of place attitude of seriousness. Life, God, salvation, self fulfillment are serious things at a degree: the rest is just noise. Even Gods take a laugh here and there. And of course all this on topic taking into account the vote that will happens in some days. Fernando.
