You will find the following text at http://www.computerchess.com/chessgenius/news_e.html Where's ChessGenius 6? Bad news first: There will be no ChessGenius 6 in 1997. Richard Lang started last year to re-write ChessGenius in 32 bit. If you are an Assembler programmer, you will know the effort to port a highly- optimised program written in Assembler to a different software platform. Meanwhile the conversion is done but testing did not show a clear improvement over ChessGenius 5 so far. Therefor, we decided to continue the development of ChessGenius 6 until we are able to offer you a clearly stronger, better featured, and more user-friendly program. We will keep you informed on this page about the ongoing development of ChessGenius 6. To shorten the waiting period, we are offering you this year the ChessGenius Gold Collection.
