If you wait, you will *always* get something MUCH stronger than if you did not wait, and for the same price. On the other hand, since this is *always* true, you will always have to wait, because there is no forseeable end to it. What buying a strong computer does is give you the best available for *now*. If you get something spectacular (like Bob's quad Xeon or Slate's _wow_ machines) they will remain competitive for a long time. It will be forever impossible to get something that will be stronger than anything to come. It's sort of like waiting for tomorrow. It's always just around the corner, but somehow it never gets here.
