When playing against Crafty in the Winboard chess GUI, the Comet process sometimes will not shut down when a game is finished and a new game starts up. Therefore there can be 2, 3, 4, or more Comet processes still running in RAM each grabbing some of the CPU after a few games into the match. You can shut down the extra processes, but it is tricky deciding which Comet process is the actual game process. Until this is solved alomg with the inability to turn pondering off for Comet during matches, there can never be fair unbiased matches using the Winboard GUI.
