I am wondering how much faster is a dual version of a program as compared to a single processor one if the clock speed is equal? anotherwords you have a dual 1Ghz which is supposed to be roughly 1.7Ghz and you have another comp that is a single 1.7Ghz. Keep in mind the programs are roughly identical unlike a fritz vs deep fritz cause deep fritz is supposed to be even stronger on a single cpu than fritz 6. For instance if i went out and got a quad 700 which is supposed to be about 2.170Ghz would it really be like 4.340Ghz with a SMP program? Maybe i am confused? Thank you
