I have owned a P4 1.5Ghz. I overclocked it quite a bit (200 mhz or so), and it was *almost* as fast as the AMD 1.4Ghz I am using now. On 99% of the applications I use, my AMD 1.4Ghz is faster than my overclocked P4 1.5Ghz. I've also owned a dual P4 1.7Ghz Xeon system. And my dual AMD 1.4Ghz system is over 12% faster on 99% of my applications. Music & video seems to be much faster on the P4's. And that's about it. You're preaching to the choir Eugene. :) Slate On September 28, 2001 at 17:54:39, Eugene Nalimov wrote: >Probably I don't understand something, but on SpecInt 2k P4 is *overall* better >than Athlon.
