This was a thoroughly checked line in fact - it simply turned out to be not as good as expected :-(. 18. ...d4 was supposed to be a good move . According to Aseev/Nunn 21.Re4 is about to lead to a drawn position. This is obviously a sloppy analysis. At first sight it seems 18...d4 simply loses. This same game could have also happened to Rebel Tiger 14.6 btw. We had a look at the Tiger book and it would have been possible for this game to happen also with switched colours. Bringer would have been out of book before b3 but would have had no problem to find it anyway. After b3 the game is already over - Bringer wasn't given a fair chance. Obviously I was very disappointed by the game as it was my mistake that Bringer went for this position and didn't even get a chance to play against Tiger . It was Noomen-Berger 1-0 . Oh well .. Greetings. pete
