Is it allowed to have a completeley different opinion? My experience is reverse! As already mentioned: with good settings CM8 had always reached a score of 50 % and more against all top programs but each individual setting had a dreaded opponent. In my opinion, Chessmaster8000 [with changed settings and a good opening book] indeed belongs to the strongest chess program of the world. I very much like the playing style and despite missing tablebases Johan de Koning's program often understand endgame positions better than the rest of the world. Kind regards Kurt
