I doubt it would be worth 20 rating points. Also the Northwood Core will be out in 2002. It will be a revamped P4 and most likely faster intergers per clock speed as well. It will be built on the 0.13 micron process and exceed speeds of 3.5 Ghz. Intel within the next 3 years will most likely push the *New* P4 up to and maybe beyond 10Ghz! I doubt the Athlon will be able to compete with this. Maybe their 64bit processors will fill in that void. Of course they'll need to still be able to do 32 bit apps. with no slowdown, like the Itanium wich really was designed for 64 bit apps. and to go into supercomputers. Terry
