Ok, let me rephrase it. "...is not perfect for a test because white
MIGHT want to play Qxf7 even if doesn't understand..."

Yes, that's the case of my program! :-(

Understandable, but it is a problem driven by the market. People
wants to buy programs that perform better against other programs
or are succesful in W.Ch.
However, most of them will use them to analyze their own games!
So, Junior might not play any pawn endgame but their users will!
Nobody seems to care, so programmers won't either, they use the programming
time as wisely as possible.
