You'd better play at FICS (http://www.freechess.org) or Chess.net (http://www2.chess.net/) both free and with a free interface. Chess.net also has a java interface. The Chess.net interface has a nice feature: a blining "light" when your opponent is switching windows on his/her PC. J.
