I am not sure what do you mean basically preprocessor.
When I say not preprocessors I mean never do preprocessing.

I am sure that Gambittiger and Rebel do preprocessing.

Fritz does it less than in the past but there are still cases when
I can find that it is a preprocessor.

Junior and gandalf are the only commercial programs that I know from the
programmers that they never do pre processing.

I supose that you don't consider HIARCS and The King to be

I know at least for the king that it does some preprocessing and it is based on
a reply to a question about it.

There are no big changes in the score based on the root position but there are
changes in the scores based on the programmer's words.

I see that I really forgot one program(yace).
It is the best free program that avoid preprocessing and it may be at the same
level of Junior or gandalf.
