Alan, What you and I need are faster brains. Paul Morphy was quite superior but he realized that chess is just a game. I can sell you my old Pentium 133 Mhz machine with MChess Pro 8.0 on it and you will have lots of fun. If you want more fun then I will ask my dad in British Columbia to sell you his 80386 with 8Mb RAM and Rebel 8.0 on it. The AMD 1400 that I have now is too fast for me. I do like to be beaten...by my wife, by life and by chess computers. I do love to play Quake III Arena at 260 frames per second at 1024X768 32bit resolution. I can win at that game. Have fun, Tim On October 02, 2001 at 17:40:21, Alan Grotier wrote: >The reason I buy chess software is to play chess. >I will never be able to beat any of the current chess programs. >Nor do I get much enjoyment playing them because of this;except for Chess >Master. In my case CM7. > >Unlike the others,in my opion,CM's levels are more subtle and allow a >better "fit" .
