I see this on Chessbase.com: start quote: Sombody tell Garry, Vladimir and Anatoly about this! The list of 128 qualifiers for the FIDE world championship, scheduled to start on November 15 in Moscow, include Anand, Shirov, Kasparov, Kramnik and Karpov. But the last three are scheduled to play their own little world championship, as reported by ITAR-TASS and, would you believe it, Newsweek. Sombody better tell them about the clash – we don't want anyone ending with egg on their faces, do we? :end quote I think being listed as a FIDE qualifier does not mean you must participate, but rather maybe an open invitation to do so. Am I wrong? Who's face has egg on it? Let me know what you think... Regards, BK
