Pepito now gets 296/300 on the WAC at 5 seconds per problem on my machine. Just for some perspective: That's better than ExChess, which gets 292 That's better than Crafty, which gets 293 That's better than Yace, which gets 295. That's one hot, spicy spanish dish! Resueltos: 296 Binary for MMX CPU's: ftp://cap.connx.com/pub/chess-engines/new-approach/PepitoMMX.exe Source code, build scripts, etc: ftp://cap.connx.com/pub/chess-engines/new-approach/PEPISRC.ZIP I am sure Carlos is cringing at my praise, and he has asked me not to sing the praises of Pepito so that I won't raise expectations too high. After all, the proof of the pudding is in the eating, and an EPD test slaughterizer is not necessarily a great chess engine in games. Yet, I expect great things from Pepito, and I therefore praise it anyway, and apologize to Carlos for my awful disobedience. ;-)
