I don't know. The PowerPC CPU could leverage from this design. But it is certainly a "wakeup call" for other companies. But I am still not too impressed about the Power4 since it has two CPU cores. It is a great achievement in putting everything into one small package. But should one Power4 now be compared to 2 Athlon CPUs? If not, we have to be careful how we define CPU, otherwise SUN might cramp four CPU cores into one package for their USPARC IV and call it the fastest CPU ;-) Gregor
