It can be done very easy. You just have to choose the correct language (C) and
the right boardpresentation. (bitboard)

I have seen it a couple of times and the programmers always used C and
bitboards. They are also thinking about going multiprocessor (appaerantly very
easy in C) Even more, in C you can't make any mistakes because these people
never had the need to test their program, it just worked correct.

And their programs can even become better, since when you speak to them they
don't know shit about computerchess programming ( just some vague idea about
"recognizing patters better" and being "selctive" ) Imaging how strong their
program becomes when they would know what they were doing. But for some sort of
reason they never stick around very long. Most of the time they loose interest
very fast.
