I don't know if this has been posted before but for you Linux fans, and I know there are at least two, the SuSE 7.2 (professional edition) distribution includes Shane Hudson's SCID chess database application and both the crafty and gnuchess engines. But not xboard. Installation was painless and SCID defaults to the crafty engine for analysis. Great stuff and free (except SuSE - $70). Steve
