Recently I wanted to reach, at least, Chess Master and it is very far from Chest in brute force. I hope that after few weeks of using Chest, I will have pretty clear idea of how far is my own solver right now from its possible performance. Other programs, before Chest, gave me very faulty impression in this sense. Thanks, Paul, for your help on the first place! >This is what Pretz thinks (mate in 12), took a bit longer than the one from >yesterday (about one and a half minute): Good work! Since you found also mate in 12, it is probably mate in 12. I went in this position only 10 moves by brute force and expect to put 11 at night. Eleven (after branching factor that went down to 4) should take around 8 hours. Solved this mate by selective in 8 seconds. See you, Leonid. >01:34 WM12 09 Qh8+ Rg8 Qxg8+ Qxg8 Nxg8+ Qxe5 Qgxe5+ Q6e6 Nf6+ Kf8 Nfd7+ Qcxd7 >Qh8+ Qg8 Qcf6+ Ke8 Qe5+ Kf8 Be7+ Qxe7 c8=Q+ Qxc8 Qaxe7# >See ya, >Paul
