I am absolutely sure that this choice wins (if played correctly), but the reason they have chosen it at blitz time controls is not the right one. For a few moves, they may have the pv right. But at fast time controls, you will likely see a draw if they choose it, because there are some tricky choices down the line. In the case of WAC.100, they usually choose it because they see the pawn snack.
