It only needed to lose one more game against a GM with 2500 to get the GM norm so I can say that it got the GM norm from every logical point of view(we can be 100% sure that it could get it if you give it one more game in the last round against an average GM). Deep Junior 6's performance at Dortmund 2000 is for sure a GM norm, >as well as Deep Fritz's performance at the Dutch championship. I am not sure about Deep Fritz's performance in the dutch championship(I think that it did not get the GM norm there) PCConner's >performance at Lippstadt, Germany is also a GM norm. I read somewhere that Fritz >3 had a IM norm in a tournament Godesberg, Germany in 1995, but there were no >games of this tournament at Chris Carson's pgn file. I know that games of this tournament were published and I read them in a chessbase magazine at that time but unfortunately I do not know where did I put them and I am not going to look for them. It is possible that it could do also even a GM norm at that time but unfortunately chessbase was interested more in making money by selling Fritz and not in doing a GM norm. I remember that Fritz3(p90) did more than 50% against the GM's(1 win and some draws if I remember correctly) and it had problems against weaker players who bought it and prepared against it. The GM's believed that they could win it without special preparation when the weaker players prepared better and used the fact that they had the program except the opening book. Uri
