yes it was meant as a joke. but the logic was in order and exact, with references and a URL for your convenience. and also it was a direct answer to the question, "does anyone have any ideas on the strength of fritz7"? my point was that we should follow the guidelines set by our mentors that post here stating, that these programs are not GM level. so the list has a large amount of GM under 2500, and several under 2400. so it seems i should not say that any of my programs are above maybe about 2350 or so. also URI you said you reference about 2500 for GM level, the list i posted has lots of GMs under 2500. and some under 2400. so guys like me that want to assign a four digit chess rating to a program are having difficulty applying logic to this, based on opinions here. my logic tells me to make sure that i refer to my programs strength, as being under these GMs on the FIDE list. i have no interest in what people here refer to as trolls. i have too much money in hardware to be stimulated by posting a troll. kburcham
