I'm just playing a 'handicap' tournament with Fritz against the rest of the pack. Fritz gets my old Toshiba Tecra P133 notebook (about P120 desktop equivalent, 80 MB RAM) and all the others get my P233MMX dual HX430 desktop machine with 512KB sync. PB cache and 128MB RAM. The Toshiba is about half as fast as the P233MMX (slightly slower, depending on the program). Results so far (scores from Fritz' point of view): 1. Genius 5 DOS 3/7 -1 2. Rebel 9 DOS 7.5/15 +0 3. M-Chess 6 DOS 0.5/1 +0 4. Shredder 2 4/8 +0 5. Hiarcs 6 4.5/8 +1 6. CST Paris 4.5/8 +1 7. M-Chess 7.1 8/14 +2 8. Comet A82 4.5/6 +3 Fritz had white in all games except in 7 games against Rebel 9 7 games against M-Chess 7.1 1 game against Shredder 2 1 game against Hiarcs 6 (I'm still completing games with Fritz/black, will post final standings here) Fritz 5.01 was playing with PowerBook and 60MB hash tables, all other programs got maximum hash tables possible on the 128MB P233MMX.
