Hi Kees, > I looked in older messages and read about a program chest > that can solve mate problems > I could not find where i can get that program > Can someone help? Chest is for sure one of the best if not THE best mate solver around. The programmer is Heiner Marxen - I have had some really nice discussions with him in Berlin at the BELCT 2001. It is really interesting how different the point of view to chess is when programming a mate solver compared to a chess program. Heiner is a real genius in my opinion... (Yes Heiner, you are... :) You can get Chest on Heiners homepage together with some very interesting informations. The link is: http://www.drb.insel.de/~heiner/ and the link to the chest-homepage is: http://www.drb.insel.de/~heiner/Chess/chest.html Greets, Thomas
