We all assumed you were talking about the opening keys. The 2 are separate. With the ECO codes the limit of searching is 500 different classifications. For a more accurate ECO classification See the following post by an R.G.C.C. poster "As I found that the "normal" ECO key furnished by ChessBase does not classify accurately the games (try it with an Informant file!) and the big one is really cumbersome, I started to develop an ECO key of my own. Well, everything is all right. The key works very good and I would like to use it to put the ECO codes automatically on games. With the old ChessBase program for Windows it was very easy: you had to buy a little utility from ChessBase called "ECO-Utility Windows" and produce your own .COD file and use it. I bought the utility and used it without problems."
