The copyright notice has to include that 9-letter word, a year, and has to mention the holder of the copyright (IIRC). - put a note to read that file at a prominent place in the header comment of each source file - distribute it all together. You may also look at the exact way and wording Bob did with crafty. Since there have been tries to rip crafty I think Bob tried to make his measures legally effective.
