Subject: Come see Junior play (round 4)

Author: Amir Ban

Date: 02:10:13 05/26/98

Fourth round of this tournament produced Junior's first loss. The
opponent was IM Alex Krayz (ELO 2395), a familiar player which, however,
we have never played before.

On other boards Gofshtein beat Manor to score full 4 points, while
Smirin lost to Michalevsky in a wild game.

Junior played black in a game that started as a Two-Knights Defence and
developed into something similar to a closed Ruy Lopez. The key point of
the game was black giving up the e5 square and getting a stranded knight
on h7. Junior started a queen-side attack, but when it had done its
worst, the game was lost anyway.
