I also had the Mach III Master _and_ the Super Forte and played them against
each other.  I sold the Mach III not that long ago.  I still have the Super
Forte.  Another machine in the same category as both of these units as far as
physical size, features, price, and rating was the Mephisto Mondial, which I
also still have.  The three boxes were quite close in strength in my tests.

Just think of the trouble we used to go through in those days to test these
boxes with games against each other or with test suites!  And you'd have to
write down the moves by hand (I did have [still do?] the move printer for the
Novag).  Things sure have gotten a lot easier!
