Unbelievable! As it could solve some mates in 15! It would play it on level 7, T/C 40 in 2. I first tried it on infinate level then on tournament level. The Mach III Master was a very very strong programme back in 1988-89. Only the 16bit Almeria programme by Mephisto; (Hegner & Glasser) was at the same or a little higher playing level, which came out the following year. Programmer for Mephisto was Richard Lang, and he used Dan Spracklen's programme for the "acid test" against his own. BTW I still have the Mach III Master, the Designer Series, and is still in new like condition. My Super Forte "C" is still working fine as well but shows wear and tear. > >Hardware celeron@875 Mhz, 100 MB hash, 19 sec > >Analysis by Gambit Tiger 2.0: > >1.Ta1 Dxe3+ 2.Cxe3 Cb3 3.hxg6 hxg6 4.C3d5 Cxa1 5.Txa1 > -+ (-3.48) Profondeur: 7 00:00:00 83kN >1.Tbd1 Dxe3+ 2.Cxe3 Cf4 3.hxg6 a1D 4.Txa1 Txa1 5.Txa1 Cdxe2 6.gxf7 Rxf7 > -+ (-3.44) Profondeur: 7 00:00:00 131kN >1.Tbf1 Dxe3+ 2.Cxe3 Cf4 3.hxg6 a1D 4.Txa1 Txa1 5.Txa1 Cfxe2 6.gxf7 Rxf7 > -+ (-3.40) Profondeur: 7 00:00:00 181kN >1.Ta1 Dxe3+ 2.Cxe3 Cb3 3.hxg6 hxg6 4.g3 Cxa1 5.Txa1 Cd4 6.C3d5 > -+ (-3.56) Profondeur: 8 00:00:01 237kN >1.Ta1 Dxe3+ 2.Cxe3 Cb3 3.hxg6 hxg6 4.g3 Cxa1 5.Txa1 Cd4 6.C3d5 > -+ (-3.56) Profondeur: 9 00:00:02 400kN >1.Ta1 Dxe3+ 2.Cxe3 Cb3 3.Cc2 Cxa1 4.Txa1 Cf4 5.hxg6 hxg6 6.g3 > -+ (-3.74) Profondeur: 10 00:00:05 1042kN >1.Ta1 Dxe3+ 2.Rxe3 Cc2+ 3.Rf2 Cxa1 4.Txa1 Cd4 5.Cc3 Ta3 6.Cxc8 Txc8 7.Cxa2 > -+ (-3.52) Profondeur: 11 00:00:15 3208kN >1.Dh6+ > -+ (-2.84) Profondeur: 11 00:00:18 3753kN >1.Dh6+ Rxh6 2.hxg6+ Rg5 3.Th5+ Rxh5 4.f4+ Df3+ 5.Fxf3+ Cxf3 6.Th1+ Ch2 7.Cf6+ >Rh6 8.Txh2+ Rg7 > +- (#11) Profondeur: 11 00:00:19 4131kN >1.Dh6+ Rxh6 2.hxg6+ Rg5 3.Th5+ Rxh5 4.f4+ Df3+ 5.Fxf3+ Cxf3 6.Th1+ Ch2 7.Cf6+ >Rh6 8.Txh2+ Rg7 > +- (#11) Profondeur: 12 00:00:23 5026kN Now that's fast!;-)
