Deep Fritz can see no advantage some minutes after Nf5 gxf5
Nf5 b4 is another option to analyze when Deep Fritz can see no advantage.

I think that it is better if you post the game so people can analyze the game in
order to find faster if black missed the right defense and if  there is a chance
for programs to solve it in case that the move Nf5 is winning.

The game was played almost 30 years ago and it is clear that white did not use
chess programs to help him so I do not trust themoves more than computer
analysis.
