Subject: Tactical/Combinatorial Suite, Selected from WCSAC (cleaned up)

Author: Miguel A. Ballicora

Date: 21:02:15 10/16/01

I cleaned up WCSAC and I ended up with 34 positions I like (out of 1000).
I have been very selective. I tossed out all the positions that were
extremely easy, too difficult, difficult to prove, with cooks, with moves that
could be played without understanding the combination, with solutions that could
be potentially confused if there are problems in the eval, wrong solutions etc.
Therefore, remaining positions are supposed to be tactical/combinatorial
and have a clean unique solution.
When in doubt, I tossed out the position. I am intending to use them to use
the time needed to solve the positions rather than using % of correct ones.

I havent't changed (yet) the position that Terry corrected because I did
not test it. I think I will, Chest proved it correct.

I have four positions that could be potentially interesting but look
a bit difficult and there are about ~100 that I will go through later, but
they are certainly easier.

So, these are the positions, please test them with your favorite engine
and let me know of any problem.

Miguel
