I've only just started playing games/tournaments against CM8 personalities with the new FIDE time control of 90 mins + 30 secs/move for a game: before, I used 75 mins/35 moves until there was a result. I've only played a few games but I have noticed some big differences in the way personalities keep time. E.g. Josh Age 12 played very quickly and (if I remember correctly) had over 50 minutes of playing time left as compared to Vanessa, whom Josh was playing in this instance, who was nearing the end of her clock before she won. Has anyone noticed anything similar? Do the/some personalities run weaker/stronger on the new FIDE time control than the 'old style' moves-per-minutes time control? Should it or does it make a difference? Any insights would be appreciated. Many thanks Regards Matthew
