In order to distribute the search of the 1st two root moves on parallel processors, you have to omit alpha-beta and would have minmax pure (for the 1st two root noves). I am afraid that the gain from the 2nd processor would be almost negligible since you loose very much by giving up alpha beta. Uli >Moritz
