I agree with all of the above. However, IIRC Fritz did not get really strong before version 5. Fritz 3, when released, was quite far behind Genius, MChess, The King and Rebel. I personally do believe that there has been considerable software improvements in recent years, but I don't think matches against Fritz 3 is a good way to prove it. Tord
