my problem is something else. The analyze is starting and shown in a scid window
but scid itself stops responding to any menu or button click. The analyze
continues forewever... I have to stop the scid task by throwing it out. The
Terra log looks ok.

Terra is protocol ver 2 and analyze works well under Winboard. I have the latest
scid version and it claims that the string "Crafty" is not needed anymore.
