Who pays for >slower harddisks nowadays? Maxtor bought out Quantum, so really how bad can they be? I own a 60 gig 7200 rpm, ATA100 drive from Maxtor. To date it is solid, and fast. Who is the A-brand? IBM? Just try a deskstar, and you will know just that Maxtor is not all that bad. They really are the A brand for under 10,000 rpm drives.
