If you want data, you only have to look at the hardware sites. It's as simple as
that. Some good ones are:
Anandtech, Tom's Hardware and Van's Hardware and a whole lot of others. The SPEC
scores say it all when it comes to chess, Btw.

How the heck would I know. I don't know where you live, etc ...
It's only assembling a computer, not something really hard. All parts are
standardized, nearly all. Don't you have small computer shops where you live? I
can't recommend buying a brand computer in any case, they cost too much. And the
support might be adequate, but definitely not worth the added cost.
