Well it may not be "high end" and I'm not allowed to mention specific numbers,
but I can tell you that Excalibur has sold many, many tens (hundreds?) of
thousands of its LCD Chess handheld.  It has proven to be a very popular
product.

As for myself, I am much more likely to buy a Palm and Chess Tiger (if I want
high-end chess) than a dedicated chess handheld that would cost about the same.
A Palm can do many other things and the applications can be upgraded.
(Christophe Theron has already upgraded Palm Chess Tiger once since its initial
release.)
