In my experience, you must be very careful with the ep-target. I have seen a case (in a real game) where setting the ep square (after a pawn was pushed a double step, but could not be captuted ep) yielded a wrong mate score, when the position was draw. This was not with the latest source of Eugene, and I did not try with the latest source. Regards, Dieter
